Activist membership

Activist Members are the people who make LELO work.  They lead our organization and political education projects, they help plan fundraising activities, and they can be relied upon to make our social justice organization relevant to the communities in which we organize.  In return, they get voting rights and a high level of input in major decisions.

If this sounds like a role you want to play, here's what it takes to become a LELO Activist Member:

  • Uphold Our Values:  Support LELO's mission, purpose, principles of unity and code of mutual respect.

  • Lead And Organize:  Actively participate in a LELO project or committee, be a responsible and accountable leader, engage in regular outreach activities, promote LELO and our organizing.

  • Donate and Raise Money:  Make a monthly pledge of $5-$50 or a minimum annual gift of $60.  Participate in LELO fundraising activities.

  • Educate Politically:  Attend a new member orientation and a 4-part political education series.  Come to at least four LELO events each year.
